Tickets will be on sale for just another week! Seven days left for you to purchase YOUR ticket.
Int. Su Ann sent a Facebook message around, inviting everyone to find her at various shopping malls this week to buy tickets. She'll be at 1Utama on Monday & Tuesday, and is deciding where else to go for the rest of the week.
These arrangements are especially so for guests beyond ICCPJ. If you're interested, drop her a message at newsuann@gmail.com or on Facebook to book a date!
All clubs are reminded to pass all tickets and sales revenue to the Organizing Committee on the 19th of March, 2010 (Friday).
FINALLY, ticket sales at the door are as follows:
RM30 (normal) and RM45 (VIP)
Sales will begin around 9.30 to 10.00 a.m. at HGH Hall, that very morning. Limited tickets are available, and we can't guarantee much. So get them much much earlier, will you?
CONCERT IN LESS THAN TWO WEEKS. YAY YAY YAY.
And this is how the concert just gets HOTTER!
We’ve currently confirmed 3 guest artists, and their two more in line-up which we will reveal in due time.
Here’s who’s performing at our concert:
Liang (Emcee + Performer)
He’s definitely cool. He started off with a degree from the University of London, then breaking into the music scene when he composed a song for Juwita Suwito. Since then, he’s released hit single- Silver Linings and two albums! And he’s going to act in his first movie too. How many talents can one man own?
Read more about him in this interview by The Star Newspaper.
Rina Omar (Emcee)
She’s familiar, being the Host of 8TV Quickie. I’ll let her describe herself. Her Myspace profile writes:
4ft10, boundless energy, sugar junkie, sleeps too little, talks too much, has ADHD. I think that pretty much tells you all you need to know.
Writer, host, producer, musician, rebel, activist, snake-wrangler in the making, adrenaline junkie and self-professed impulsive troublemaker.
Such energy on stage would be contagious. I likey, do you?
Kraft (Performer)
He’s flourishing in the Malaysian Indie Music Scene, and as he puts it, “NY needs Jay-Z and MY needs Kraft.” His profile boasts these titles: champion of Think You Got Skillz? and U.O.X. Play Freestyle Battle and winner of Voize Music Awards Best Collaboration with singer Melissa Endot. Like WHOA. :D
Read more about him in this article in KLUE.
Well, we know him best with his song, Diamonds ft. Mia Palencia. So, watch it here!
Annatasha Saifol (Performer)
With a voice like hers, you just cannot believe she is just seventeen! To think she has performed with Caprice. Take a listen below.
If I may, just let me add. Boys (and girls), she’s eye-candy too. Woot.
Her blog, with links to all her social network links: http://monkeydisease.blogspot.com/
AND her youtube profile with her singing,
and that song with Caprice, watch it here.
TRUST ME, THIS CAN ONLY GET BIGGER.
MORE performances are in line, that’s so exciting I’m jittering with excitement. But I can’t tell you yet. :O
What more, we’ve lined up one AMAZING opening act that is so huge, it’s EXPLOSIVE! Like ultrasound frequency that’s inaudible to our ears.
:D :D
ARE YOUUU COMING?
Please take note that first rehearsals will be held soon. The details are as follows:
Date: 13th March 2010, Saturday
Venue: Catholic High School
Time: 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Rules:
- Thou must be punctual, the First Commandment of Interact. Now, this is important due to time constraints and all that, please take note!
- Be decently attired. No sandals/ slippers/ short shorts/ micro minis/ slacky attire.
- No wandering around school grounds.
- Regular school rules apply.
Only performers that have been registered are allowed at the rehearsals. (Number of people as updated to Int. Victoria)
Please bring a participation fee of RM7/ performer for refreshments, tags, etc. Hand them in to the Secretariat Desk.
Please have a rough idea of your AV, stage movement, number of mics, props.
Bring your video if you're interested, as well as 2 copies of your soundtracks! Burn them into CDs for convenience, not laptops or I-pods.
The concert's falling into place, oh so excited we are.
We'll see you then!
For those of you, that do not know where Catholic High School is, here is a map to help you :
This year, the performances will be taking on reality TV style, like American Idol or So You Think You Can Dance.
We're allocating 30 seconds before every performance to let the audience know who you are. Other suggestions include showcasing your preparation and what you went through, exclusive "Behind the Scenes" giggles, a sad or inspiring story, or something really funny about you!
Be original and that'll make your group stand out.
Do note, it'll not be included in the judging criteria, BUT it will give you an edge. Your video could be so good that the crowd loves you, hence bigger/ LOUDER audience response!
Group leaders, please take note.
- All videos must be submitted at the first rehearsal, burned onto a CD.
- Please pass your videos to Int. Giri Rao from La Salle, who will assist in the AV.
- Please make sure your videos are saved in a format that can be played. For example, MVMM.project files cannot be played on Media Player. Google this up or grab a technical wiz to sort this out.
- Each video must be no more than 30 seconds long.
Are you game for this??
:D
:D Just saying, that's how cool tickets to ICC are. Forgive our excitement, but you do need to get hold of these tickets! :D
Anyway, ticket sales by the Interact Clubs in the 6 ICCPJ schools will end on the 18th of March 2010 (2 Thursdays before the concert). This is for strictly official purposes and IS necessary, so we hope you'll get your tickets before then!
All Clubs are also reminded to hand in all remaining tickets by the 19th of March to the Organizing Committee.
However, all remaining tickets will be on sale at the door on the day itself. First come, first serve and we can't guarantee how many tickets that would be left. IF (and only if, there is little reason for you not being able to get tickets) you need walkin tickets, please do not give up on it altogether or stay away out of doubt.
Furthermore, please keep in mind that the walk in tickets will be sold at RM30 for Normal and RM45 for VIP.
SO, to all hopefuls, walk-in tickets would be sold at the Ticketing Counter from 9.30 a.m.
Doors open at 10.00 a.m., do take note!
More updates: we're getting really awesome guest performances. Confirmed list to be published soon. Another reason to COME.
Don't hesitate, get your tickets TODAY!
27th March 2010: HGH Hall (7.00 a.m. until 10.00 a.m.)
- All crew members under all committees is to attend. Please refer to your respective committee heads to confirm.
As you can see, buying the VIP tickets is more worth it because it has a big difference between the viewing distance of the VIP seats than Normal tickets.Plus, the seating is in a first come basis. So buy the VIP tickets before they run out ! for reassurance of good seats :) .
Tickets are going to be sold soon, the hype is up and the concert is drawing so very near! PJ and the whole of Klang Valley can already feel the concert vibe pulsating. (THUMPING, really!)
However, before we're set to rock the HGH stage on the 27th, there's much to do.
To ease the whole "committee coordination and snapping into place",
Group Leaders, please take note:
ONE.
Provide an email address to receive important updates IMMEDIATELY.
Let it be an email address that is frequently used.
A "test email" will be sent soon, using email addresses from the registration forms. Some are incomplete and are written in inlegible penmanship. Anyhow, do drop your email with Secretary, Int. Victoria N. immediately. (ny_victoria147[at]hotmail.com)
WHY?
Cause specific instructions, letters and all that will be emailed to all groups frequently. SMSes and phone calls are inconvenient and expensive.
TWO.
Official Crew Tags
WHY? Only those with official crew tags will be allowed at rehearsals and backstage.
To get this done, please email Int. Victoria by Sunday, the 21st Feb.
Do specify:
i. Group name
ii. Group members’ names to be printed on tags
iii. Exact number of tags needed
UPDATE:
We'll need to put your pictures on them too, for security/ controlling purposes. Can you collect and paste these yourselves later? About 2cm in width would do.
THREE.
Stage Direction
Needed: one week before first rehearsal
State your:
i. stage direction (who is entering on which side)
ii. desired lights/ stage effects and music cue for these lights
iii. number of microphones/ mic stands needed & who would use them
Do type it nicely on a piece of paper and get it printed. Committee in charge: La Salle & Samad. Will confirm who to pass it to soon.
FOUR.
Audiovisuals
Prepare Audio CD (2 copies), to be brought to your FIRST rehearsal.
Committee in charge: Bukit Bintang. Will confirm who to pass it to soon.
FIVE.
Programme Book Entry
Confirm your group name. In 20 words, tell me about your group.Submit a group picture.
(All to be emailed to Int. Victoria by the 1st of March!)
SIX.
Your performance
That's the real deal. Look out for rehearsal dates and venues!
WE CAN’T WAIT.
(For most of the instructions above, do get back to Secretary, Int. Victoria N at ny_victoria147[at]hotmail.com, promptly too! Please and thank you.)
